Tradavo is not an anonymous service provider. Clients get a dedicated point of contact who supports them from the first call through project completion and is available for questions throughout. We work in a detailed manner with in-depth legal research, while staying focused on what actually matters and filtering what is truly relevant for the specific product. We act consistently in the client’s best interest: we recommend only what is actually needed and always aim for the most cost-effective and legally compliant solution.

Tradavo primarily focuses on the European Union and the United Kingdom (UK). Depending on the target markets a seller wants to enter, we tailor our services and legal research to those regions. Please note that we currently do not offer advice for non-European markets such as the USA. In an initial consultation, we clarify which European markets the seller needs support for.

Tradavo supports a wide range of non-food products, especially in categories such as electronics, toys, textiles, food-contact materials, personal protective equipment (PPE), household goods, sports equipment, and “mixtures” (e.g., cleaning products). However, we cannot support the following categories: food, animal feed, cosmetics, and medical devices. If a product category is not listed, sellers are welcome to book a free initial consultation or send a short email with their request.

Yes. Because our team comes from e-commerce, we understand Amazon’s requirements very well, both in terms of documentation and internal processes. We know which test reports and other documents Amazon accepts and how to submit them correctly. A key advantage: if sellers can’t get any further with standard Seller Support, for example, in the case of an unjustified product suspension, Tradavo has a direct contact to Amazon’s legal department to escalate and resolve issues at a higher level.

It’s simple: sellers can book a free initial consultation via Zoom through our website, send a short email, or use the contact form. During the call, we get to know the seller, review the product and situation together, and then provide a transparent, tailored offer.

The ideal time to book the all-round carefree package​ is when the product is finalized and the manufacturer has been selected, but the purchase order has not been placed yet. For precise legal research, we need the most detailed product information possible. For lab testing, it’s critical that the order hasn’t been placed yet. This keeps material or product changes possible without major losses. If production has already started and a test fails, the seller would either knowingly sell a non-compliant batch or lose their deposit. A compliance check or a requirements research/testing plan for existing products can be done at any time.

This depends significantly on the service booked. Apart from your company information and the VAT ID (only necessary for companies based in the EU), the following information would usually be sufficient for us to create a product requirements profile (testing plan) or for our All-round carefree package: a few pictures of the product including the entire scope of delivery and, if applicable, a link to your own or a competitor listing / Alibaba listing. For electrical devices, we would also need information on the technical details. For a compliance check, the following documents would also be necessary, if available: product labeling, instructions, packaging and polybag design, test reports from laboratories, declaration of conformity, and images of all packaging components or alternatively an excerpt from a pre-shipment inspection report.

We usually create the product requirements profile (testing plan) or the compliance check within a maximum of 7 days. For the entire processing of the All-round carefree package, you should plan about 1.5 months, for more complex products such as electrical devices rather 2 months. Experience shows that most time is lost during the production and shipping of the required test samples by your manufacturer. The actual lab tests usually take about 10 to 14 days, although there are exceptions for special long-term tests that can sometimes take several months. Therefore, always plan sufficient buffer for your product launch. If your product is already on the market, Product Compliance should be planned with sufficient lead time before the next order from the manufacturer.

A testing plan is a requirements profile, i.e., we research all regulations / laws applicable to your product with concrete instructions including the labeling for product and packaging for the German, European, or UK market, depending on where you want to ship your product. The product requirements profile (testing plan) will also go into detail on the topics of instructions and requirements from the EU Product Safety Regulation. We will also be happy to answer subsequent questions about the document so that you are well-equipped to go into implementation.

As part of the Compliance Check, we check the product, packaging, and polybag labeling, the instructions, and all available test reports from laboratories for your specific product. We prepare the results for you in a clear document that contains detailed instructions on all necessary changes. Please note: the Compliance Check only makes sense if test reports for the specific product are already available. If this is not the case, the product requirements profile (testing plan) would be the more sensible option.

As part of our All-round carefree package, we support you fully with the Product Compliance for your product. The package includes, in addition to the product requirements profile (testing plan), the check of existing lab tests / certificates from your manufacturer, the commissioning of still missing lab tests including taking over the communication with your manufacturer. We also take care of the complete organization of the tests, e.g., the shipping of the samples and the concrete specification of the test parameters for the laboratory. For the tests themselves, you benefit from our cheaper conditions of our laboratory partners, which we pass on 1:1 to you as our customer. The check of all your artworks, e.g., the product labeling and the packaging design as well as the instructions, is also included. If a declaration of conformity is legally required for your product, we will create it for you in the last step.

Very roughly speaking: the product requirements profile (testing plan) is suitable for sellers who then want to go into implementation themselves and do not need any further support, for example with the processing of lab tests. The Compliance Check is intended for products already on the market that are to be checked thoroughly for your European target markets. The All-round carefree package is ideal if you want to hand over everything compliance-relevant and want to have support at your side during the entire process. Especially for more complex products, we advise this package, while for simpler products the product requirements profile (testing plan) or compliance check is often sufficient. Yes, that is possible at any time. If you have started with the product requirements profile (testing plan), for example, and notice that you would rather put the implementation in our hands, we can switch to the All-round carefree package at any time. Services already rendered will, of course, be credited.

A serious flat-rate answer is unfortunately not possible here, as the costs vary extremely, from a few hundred euros to five-figure amounts. Decisive factors are the materials used, the number of colors, the intended use, and the complexity of your product. A key point for your calculation: the amount also depends heavily on test reports from your manufacturer that are already properly available. If the manufacturer already has usable documents, we take this into account as part of our All-round carefree package, which reduces your lab costs accordingly. We obtain comparative offers from our partner laboratories for you in order to find the most economical solution for you.

We have a worldwide network of partner laboratories accredited for the EU. Most of our partner laboratories are located in China and Hong Kong, so that on the one hand favorable conditions are secured and on the other hand shipping routes for product samples from the manufacturer to the laboratory are as short as possible in order to save valuable time. Our network has the advantage for you that we can always select the laboratory that offers the best expertise and the fairest conditions for your specific product and for the tests that are still specifically missing. You can also always be sure with us that the final test reports will be recognized by Amazon as well as other large platforms and authorities.

No, there is no legal requirement for annual repetitions. As long as, for example, your product, the materials, and the EU standards do not change, your test reports remain valid. However, our general recommendation is to repeat lab tests about every two years. This is mainly because you as a seller often have no direct insight into your manufacturer's choice of suppliers. If the manufacturer changes the supplier for a raw material without your knowledge, for example, your product can suddenly no longer be compliant. To minimize this risk, a two-year test rhythm is advisable. To ensure that you always stay up to date with legal changes, we recommend our blog section, so you are always up-to-date.

No. We do not profit in any way from high lab costs. Since you have already paid us for our service in advance, we pass our discounted conditions at our partner laboratories directly on to you. We therefore have no conflict of interest in the processing of the lab tests and act exclusively in your interest. Our goal is to keep the lab costs as low as possible for you and at the same time ensure the full compliance of your product. We are therefore looking for the most economical solution for you, which at the same time offers the necessary legal certainty so that you can operate your business in the long term and without risk.

Should a lab test turn out negative in the first attempt, we will not leave you alone. Together with you and your manufacturer, we analyze the source of the error and look together for an efficient solution to the problem. So far, in almost all cases, we have been able to find solutions together with the respective manufacturer in order to achieve the compliance of the product in the second attempt. A so-called "re-test" is also almost always a lot cheaper than the initial test of the entire product.

That depends, and unfortunately the answer is often sobering in practice. "Certificates" from your manufacturer are in most cases not usable without the associated full test report from the laboratory. Neither authorities nor Amazon would accept such a document. If your manufacturer can provide you with test reports, it is important to check them carefully for completeness, topicality, and applicability for your specific product. Roughly summarized: manufacturer documents can basically be used, but only if they apply to your specific product and the lab tests were carried out by a laboratory accredited for the respective tests. We check exactly that for you, both as part of our Compliance Check and in the All-round carefree package. If the available documents are not usable, it would be necessary to carry out your own lab tests.

Confidentiality is the basis of our cooperation. If you book the All-round carefree package, we conclude a contract under German law in advance, which, among other things, regulates confidentiality in a legally secure and clear manner. When booking a prodcut requirements profile (testing plan), no contract is standardly provided in advance, as the information exchanged for this is usually not particularly confidential. Should you commission a Compliance Check and want to send us your documents for checking, we will of course be happy to conclude an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) in advance at your request. Your product information and business data are safe with us in any case and will never be passed on to third parties.

The "from" reflects that the costs depend on the type of your product. The basic prices apply to products that are not subject to the CE marking requirement. If, on the other hand, your product is subject to the CE marking requirement, the prices for the product requirements profile (testing plan) and the Compliance Check are 250€ each and for the All-round carefree package 700€. There are no further price gradations, so you have full planning certainty. Of course, our attractive volume discounts also apply to "CE products" if you want to book several products at the same time. Yes, we offer attractive volume discounts if you want to book several products at the same time. For 3 products booked at the same time, you receive a discount of approx. 10%, and for 5 products the discount is approx. 15%. Yes. If you receive an inquiry from a market surveillance authority or a suspension or other inquiry from Amazon, we will help you immediately. We analyze the complaint, coordinate, if necessary, the procurement of missing evidence, and take over the entire communication on request so that you are quickly capable of acting again. In cases where the normal Amazon Seller Support could not offer you a satisfactory solution, we also have the possibility to escalate the case to the Amazon legal department.

On request, she can also take over the complete communication for you, conduct price negotiations, and accompany you from the sample order to the final order.

That depends on the type of registration. For certain registrations, we advise you comprehensively, but do not take over the processing ourselves. This applies, among other things, to the following areas: registration with dual systems / EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) as well as WEEE registration (electrical equipment disposal). We unfortunately cannot support you directly in creating a complete risk analysis or technical documentation. For this, we recommend that you call in a specialized service provider or lawyer. What we do take over for you, however: essential components of technical documentation, such as lab tests and declarations of conformity, are exactly the documents that authorities will in any case request as part of a check. We create and coordinate these for you. This means: after our cooperation has ended, you already have a significant part of your technical documentation available in a legally secure manner and are thus well-equipped for an emergency.

No. Our focus is exclusively on setting you and your business up securely and compliantly. We do not offer any services aimed at actively blocking or denouncing competitors. We are convinced that you will be most successful in the long term if your own Product Compliance is gapless. However, should you be massively affected by unfair competition, for example, we recommend that you call in a specialized lawyer who will professionally check your legal options and support you in enforcing your interests.

Not if you take the right steps.
