frequently causes confusion and mix-ups among sellers. The question whether you need an <strong>authorization<\/strong> <strong>service<\/strong> or can take care of the necessary tasks yourself is not always easily answered. Let us take a closer look at these two positions. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8ee3d95 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"8ee3d95\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Authorizations for the extended producer responsibility<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-91370db elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"91370db\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The extended producer responsibility (EPR) applies in every EU country. However, there is no corresponding central authority, which is why you, as a seller, are responsible for registering and paying the respective fees in each country you sell and dispatch your products to.<\/p><p>Since every country has its <strong>own rules<\/strong> in this respect, this responsibility can easily become too much for sellers, especially new ones. If you do not yet know the term \u201cextended producer responsibility\u201d, you can find detailed information <a href=\"https:\/\/compliance.tradavo.eu\/en\/waste-electrical-and-electronic-equipment\/\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/compliance.tradavo.eu\/en\/amazon-pan-eu-program-part-2\/\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p><p><strong>France<\/strong>, for example, holds a <a href=\"https:\/\/compliance.tradavo.eu\/en\/amazon-pan-eu-program-part-2\/\"><strong>special position<\/strong><\/a> with respect to the EPR because there are additional product groups that have to be registered separately there. Registering the corresponding registration numbers with marketplaces such as Amazon is mandatory nowadays. Since you can do the registration and the quantity declaration yourself, an authorized representative is neither necessary nor provided for.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Austria<\/strong>: The <a href=\"https:\/\/compliance.tradavo.eu\/en\/austria-2023\/\"><strong>amended Packaging Ordinance<\/strong><\/a> came into force in Austria as of Jan 1, 2023. Since then, an authorized representative is mandatorily required for every seller who does not have a registered office in Austria.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Spain<\/strong>: To register with the Spanish \u201cProduct Producer Register\u201d, you have to assign an authorized representative. Furthermore, sellers need a so-called NIF-N-ID for foreign businesses.<\/li>\n<li><strong>France and Poland<\/strong>: Like in Germany, it is possible, at least in theory, for you to take care of the EPR for packaging yourself. You do not need an authorized representative for the participation in the disposal of batteries alone.<\/li>\n<li><strong>France, Spain and Italy<\/strong>: If you send your goods to one of these countries, you have to participate in the local system for the disposal of electronic waste. France and Spain require an authorized representative for every seller who does not have a registered office in the respective country.
